YOUTHS? DON’T BE OFFENSIVE

"YOUNG offenders will no longer be called youths because the word has “negative connotations”.
Official Government guidance revealed yesterday said the words “young person” or “young persons” must be used instead.
The change applies to paperwork for Youth Conditional Cautions, given out for minor crimes.

The definition of youth according to the online dictionary.

a. The condition or quality of being young.
b. An early period of development or existence: a nation in its youth.
2. The time of life between childhood and maturity

Can somebody please tell me how anybody could regard the word as negative?
I'm sure replacing this word will have a major effect on stopping crime.
How much longer do we have to put up with this madness?

Baroness Scotland, the Attorney General no less, falls foul of a law she introduced herself and is fined £5K.

If she had any honour she would resign immediately but needless to say this is never going to happen.
